Gorgeous Garlic Guide

There are three things I suggest to new vegetable gardeners when they ask what they should plant in their gardens. It’s a set of criteria that I follow myself when I choose what to plant in my garden space. Here’s what I say,

​ Grow a crop that will save you time, money and help you increase your health and vitality.

​ A crop that will help you make a difference in the current food system.

A crop that you can easily seed save.

​And my favourite thing to grow in my garden is a crop that actually meets all of the things I look for on the list.

It’s garlic!

​Garlic is planted in the fall at the end of the summer season. It’s easy to care for, easy to save the bulbs to plant again, its a superfood and its much healthier than the garlic grown in china.
